Change is the catalyst for greatness

A short talk about change.

Unfortunately, due to complications and sudden changes in my life, I am unable to deliver a full-sized letter this week. Instead, I’ve decided to take this letter and turn it into a small discussion on Change itself.

“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

George Bernard Shaw

Change is a necessary part of progress and it repeats itself in almost every cycle of the Life we come to observe and love each and every day of our lives. From finding a new place to live, to simply changing a routine in our everyday lives - Change is a paradoxical consistency that will resonate throughout our lives constantly.

If you find yourself in a state where change is threatening your consistency, maybe it’s best to allow it to flow freely. Life is short, albeit important. We, as a people, were not put on this earth to remain the same. Nothing on this planet, arguably in this universe stays the same. Nothing. The rocks change with the erosion of the tides, which rise and fall throughout our lives. The moon gets a little more distant every year by five inches. There are no constants, ever. And our planet, our reality, is still beautiful. Flowers still bloom. Trees still blossom. None of that would be good without change.

Remember to observe the reality we live in, it’s natural for us as Humans to refuse to mimic it, though we should. It has existed longer than we ever will.
